I can has promotion!

I interviewed for a position in our credit risk department and found out yesterday that I got it! I start on Monday. I'm super nervous because it is a whole lot of new information to learn, but I'm also excited about the prospect of doing something different. Plus, I will be back to working 5 days a week for 8 hours a day, which is a schedule I like better anyway.

You'd think, with spending 10 hours a day at the day job in front of the computer, I could find some other way to amuse myself in my precious few off hours than poking around on the interwebs. Apparently not.

Grrr.....

*resists the urge to chainsmoke*

I hate to say it, but I've been on FaceBook more recently than here, so I've gotten a little behind on updating. Plus, iPhoto makes it a lot easier to dump photos there than here. Le sigh. Anyway, here is a photo dump from recent adventures.

I had gotten behind on Look at this fucking hipster and just now got caught up, and I gotta say, it was a little like Christmas.

No cigs since Saturday night. So far it's not getting particularly easier. I'm also getting a little tired of hiding from society for fear of being tempted to bum a smoke, but when I did go out for a couple drinks on Sunday and again on Monday, I was pretty miserable with wanting a cigarette. Instead I've been hiding in my house, reading obsessively, when I'm not at work.

Still, some human interaction besides folks at work would probably be good for me.

Blah.

Was thumbing through the hold pics of myself on My Space. Makes me miss my short hair and my covertable. Does not make me miss my bright orange hair or bangs. I've been growing my hair out over the past year and half, and I'm still somewhat undecided about it. Mostly I just did it to see if I could.

Heck, it's easier than quitting smoking, at least.
